Christmas Carol Concert at Christchurch, Old town, Swindon – Saturday 20th December.
Swindon Male Voice Choir shared the stage with the Janice Thompson Trust and the Wroughton Brass Band for another successful carol evening. A Donation was made during the concert of £500 to the ‘Swindon Night Shelter’ – a Swindon Homeless care and Shelter charity.

  • Wroughton silver Band directed by Neil Webb.
  • JTPT Concert Youth Choir directed by Janice Thompson:
The opinion on the night was that the children stole the show!
  • The choir presented Choir President’s wife, Mrs Pauline Knox with flowers to show their support for her as her husband, Ken is seriously ill in hospital.
  • Swindon MVC Director of Music Max Brockman-More presents the £500 donation to the Swindon Night Shelter.
  • The concert saw two debutant tenors, Mike Smith and Peter Colman. Before the concert they both received SMVC cufflinks to mark the occasion by Swindon’s next Mayor.
  • Swindon MVC Director of Music Max Brockman-More presents the £500 donation to the Swindon Night Shelter.
  • In 2015 year we are looking to recruit a few more singers and Max looks like he has found a good prospect perhaps.
  • ‘Who loves you baby’ – Francis Couldridge, our accompanist for many years, relaxes and is given a sweet lolly bribe before she reviews the choirs’ concert performance! Always one of our harshest critics, so it’s worth it.
