SMVC performed their Annual Carol Concert at Christ Church, Old Town on Friday 21st December to a packed audience, once again. There was ‘no room at the inn’ for those who had not bought a ticket in advance!

  • For the choir and many of the audience the concert has become something of a Christmas tradition!
  • Musical Director, Max Brockman-More looks as though he’s enjoying the communal singing as much as the audience.
  • SMVC sang carols from the choir’s repertoire, such as, Holy Night, Birthday of the King and a newly arranged version of Silent Night.
  • The choir was once more joined by Wroughton Brass Band, which added to the festive spirit.

Also appearing in the concert was the JTPTrust girls choir who sang a joint item with SMVC called ‘Mrs Hooligan’s Christmas Cake’, which went down a treat with the choirs and the audience!

And finally, SMVC chairman, Brian Routledge gives words of thanks to an appreciative audience and presents a cheque of £500 to Peter Jones, Chairman of Thamesdown Hydrotherapy Pool.
