🌟 A Wonderful Start to Spring – Supporting Parkinson’s UK
Saturday 21 March – St Paul’s Church, Covingham
We opened our spring season with a heartfelt concert in support of our local Parkinson’s UK Support Group. It was a joy to share the stage with our friends from the Thamesdown Ladies Choir, filling St Paul’s with music, warmth, and community spirit. Thank you to everyone who joined us for a memorable evening.
📻 Swindon 105.5 – 48‑Hour Music Marathon Celebration
Saturday 11 April – St Timothy’s Church, Liden
To mark 18 years of Swindon 105.5 broadcasting and championing local talent, the station launched a bold 48‑hour Music Marathon. As Shirley, the Station Manager, reminded us, their motto is “daring to be different” — and this event certainly lived up to it.
Swindon MVC proudly contributed a one‑hour performance during the marathon, singing at our rehearsal home, St Timothy’s Church. A fantastic celebration of local music and community.
🤝 Joint Concert with the Defence Academy Military Wives Choir
Friday 8 May – St Barnabas Church, Gorse Hill
A special evening of shared voices and shared purpose. Our joint concert with the Defence Academy Military Wives Choir brought together two musical communities for a powerful and uplifting performance. St Barnabas Church provided the perfect setting for a night of harmony and connection.
💙 Sing Out for Brighter Futures – Supporting GWH Charity
Saturday 20 June – Immanuel Church, Upham Road.
Thank you to everyone who sang, supported, and attended our Brighter Futures charity event. This cause means a great deal to our choir and our community.
We’re delighted to share that the event raised an incredible £3,517.06, donated directly to The Meadows Cancer Treatment Centre. Sarah Summers sent her heartfelt thanks and shared a photo certificate recognising the choir’s contribution.
