SMVC Christmas period included singing at The Sun Inn, Lydiard Millicent; Stainbridge House, carehome; G&L Evams Family Funeral Services, Covingham Square but our main concert was held on 21st December, which was our annual carol concert at Christchurch, Swindon
This year the newly formed Marlborough Youth Choir and a string trio joined SMVC and Wroughton Brass Band to supply a variety of musical entertainment.
The concert was a sell-out, which created a great atmosphere for Christmas music.
SMVC sang some familiar, together with some not so familiar carols.
Marlborough Youth Choir reached some higher notes with a selection of their carols.
Wroughton Brass Band provide some toe tapping moments.
Soloist, Matilda Wale provides another dimension to the concert.
In the second half of the concert the Christmas hats and waistcoats make an appearance
And finally, the Chartiy representative for the Childrens' Hospice, Julia's House is presented with a cheque. At least £800 being raised for this worthy cause.

Over £2000 is raised on the night for the charity, SSAFA. MD Max Brockman-More presents the cheque in the presence of SMVC Chairman, John Mills.
St Barnabas Church provided a lovely settling and superb acoustics for this concert.
